Travel : Washington DC Night Tour

P6020023On our first day in Washington D.C our friends took us on a evening tour of the entire capital. For three hours we traveled by bus and visited some of the most popular tourists sites within the area. The five stops we made included the Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Korean Memorial, and the FDR Memorial. Our tour guide also made time to stop over at the Iwo Jima Memorial to take photos which was pretty cool.

Overall, the tour was worth the price we paid. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the area, and made the trip very educational and memorable. The beauty of the capital when it is completely lit up is an experience in itself and can only be appreciated during the evening hours.

Looking at the traffic on the freeways, we actually shaved off quite a bit of time by travelling on the Metro rather than trying to drive straight into the city.
