My new Xbox Live Account

halo2This is officially my 2nd account on xbox live. My original gamertag was Trench671 but I had called Microsoft and had it deleted after I moved from my condo to stay with my in-laws a little over a year ago. (the wife and I are saving for a home) My original plan was to reopen the account after my move, but it never happened. The move took longer than expected and my live account was eventually removed from the system.

At the start of this summer I had attempted to surprise my fellow gamers by purchasing a new subscription, but I was told that Microsoft was phasing out all xbox (old) live cards and making them exclusively for the 360. The only original cards they were selling included the headset which I was not about to spend a extra $25.00 for.

After constant pressure to get me back online, my friend Carla took the initiative and hooked me up with an account on live for 12 months. All she had to do was set one up on her 360 which I recovered on my xbox for use. Thanks Carla! I owe you one.

Anyway, my gamertag is now SYR4LIFE (Shoyoroll For Life). If you have a live account I’m looking forward to playing alongside you or against you. lol. Whichever you prefer. I’m still shaking off the rust and I’m still pretty inconsistent with my kills so please bear with me. There are times I’ll get 20 and others where I’ll just get 3. I’m not sure why that is. lmao.

As for live itself, I’ve noticed that its hasn’t changed very much since I’ve been offline. There is still a load of trashtalk, lots of cussing, and hordes of 10 year olds who will totally destroy me.

Guam Senator also WOW geek

Sen_TenorioWhen I stumbled on this news report on the Guam PDN a couple days ago, it helped me feel a little less “childish” whenever I played Warcraft on Blizzard or logged on for a couple sessions of Halo 2 with friends from the mainland.

I’ve been a school teacher for seven years now, and although I’m a professional at work, I still love to play games and wield some magic to attack an evil orc and troll now and then. Seems like I’m not the only one. Senator Ray Tenorio, a former Guam police officer and current Senator in the Guam Legislature plays World of Warcraft. He not only knows how to play the game, but he also boasts an impressive level 70 dwarf priest who goes by the name of Paleray (father Ray). You can find him on the Silverhand server.

Heres what he had to say about his gaming experience taken from the source at Guampdn.

“What I like about World of Warcraft is it’s a great way to be able to reach out and connect with other people… So many different people play — attorneys, accountants, geeks, … all kinds of people… What makes World of Warcraft so alluring is that it’s always reinventing and adding new content Tenorio says. There’s always something new to come back to…”

Go Ray! I’ll be voting for you again! Here’s his actual character profile online.
