Revenge of the Sith (Theater)

star_wars_episode_three_ver7The 2nd Trilogy is complete. Star Wars Revenge of the Sith was released last night at 12:01 to a huge crowd at the Guam Micronesian Mall Theaters. LightSabers, a miget Darth Vader, and a couple storm troopers walked through the halls eagerly waiting the Star Wars release. The first public release on US Soil.

I gave this movie a 4 out of 5 for the simple reason that I am a Star Wars geek. I had very high expectations for Episode III, and unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed. The movie had its moments, but I feel did not live up to the expectations of many of its die hard fans. The movie itself had a ton of special effects and Lucas really put his imagination to work, but there was just something missing. I think alot of it was the dialogue, which seemed cheesy at times and very weak. There was just not enough color in way the actors attempted to portray their roles.

I thought that I would change my favorite film to the Revenge of the Sith solely on what I watched in the previews. I was wrong. I still feel that the Empire Strikes Back was the best of the six films released so far. But dont let this review stop you from seeing this film. It is a must see for any Star Wars fan. I will definately be picking up a copy to complete my Star Wars DVD collection. May the Force be with You.
