If you want non stop action, violence, and gore, your definitely going to get an eyeful of it when watching this film. Rambo is every action movie fan’s dream. It begins with a ton of action that rarely slows down until the final credits roll.
The storyline itself was a very basic one, but for a film such as Rambo, it fit the bill very well. The Rambo franchise was never about a great story anyway, but rather on an action packed finish. This one delivered with a capital “D”.
Sylvester Stallone returns as John Rambo, and he hasn’t missed a beat. Even after a twenty year leave of absence from the role, Stallone still manages to put on the same stoic face we remember when we left off with 1988′s Rambo III. I was a bit surprised not to see Col. Samuel Trautman (Richard Crenna) at some point in the movie, but found out a bit later after the screening that he had actually passed away in 2003. Trautman was always Rambo’s conscience and guide when his back was against the wall, and it actually felt odd without his character in the film.
