Resident Evil 5 (PS3, Xbox360)

I was first introduced to the Resident Evil series with RE2.  Up until then all I heard about was how great the first game was.  Resident Evil 2 lived up to all of the hype and more. At this time the survival horror genre was brand spanking new, with the RE series blazing the way. The fixed camera angles that prevented you from seeing what was coming next combined with the uncertainty of whether or not you would even have enough ammo to deal with an inevitable attack created a tense video game experience like no other. After a few more sequels and spin offs, the tried and true formula was starting to show its age.  By the fourth official sequel, Resident Evil 4, the formula had been somewhat revamped, allowing for a less claustrophobic camera and a greater selection of weapons. The fifth installment seeks to build on the changes from the fourth game while adding some tweaks of its own.  So here we are with RE5. Did it live up to the hype like some of the previous games????

GRAPHICS 10/10

The first thing you will notice about this game is how amazing the graphics are. The level of detail in everything from textures to character models is just straight up impressive.  A lot of games look great but have graphical hiccups here and there or the occasional glitch. Not this game though. The graphics look unbelievable from the beginning to the end. To be honest, the in game graphics always look as good, if not better, than the cut scenes. Capcom games have always been highly polished in the graphics department, and this game is no exception. Resident Evil 5 is arguably THE best looking game on any console right now.

Resident Evil 2 (DVD)

This movie was better than the first. Thats about all I can say. The storyline was still the same. Figure out how the hell to get out of an infested area full of zombies, but for some reason I was able to sit through this one.

Synopsis:

A deadly virus has been unleashed on the population of Raccoon City. RESIDENT EVIL: Apocalypse is a terrifying adventure in survival horror.

Milla Jovovich returns as ALICE, one of only two survivors of the contained biochemical disaster in the first RESIDENT EVIL, the $100 million hit that serves as a prologue to the all-out action and horror of RESIDENT EVIL: APOCALYPSE.

The film begins where the first film left off, with ALICE in the heart of the ravaged and deadly Raccoon City. She has been subjected to biogenetic experimentation by the vast Umbrella Corporation and become genetically altered, with super-human strengths, senses and dexterity. These skills, and more, will be needed if anyone is to remain alive.

ALICE is joined by JILL VALENTINE, a recently demoted member of Umbrella Corp?s elite Special Tactics and Rescue Services (S.T.A.R.S.), TERRI MORALES, CARLOS OLIVIERA, L.J., and NCHOLAI who must survive and escape what is quickly becoming a City of the Dead. To reach their goal, they will need to battle their way through the relentless onslaught of the ravenous undead, as well as Umbrella forces and terrifying bioengineered weapons, the most deadly of which is the colossal, heavily armed assassin, NEMESIS.
