In the 1980′s I was infatuated with Madonna!

MadonnaDoes anyone else remember just how hot Madonna was when she broke into the music scene back in 1983? My infatuation with her actually began after watching the “Like a Virgin” video on MTV. Looking back, I had to be no older than six or seven years old at the time.

Although I probably shouldn’t have been watching MTV at that age, I managed to catch quite a number of her music videos and even watched her acting debut in Desperately Seeking Susan. For the next few years I remember cutting out any pictures I found of her while posting them alongside Weird Science actress Kelly Lebrock. I will confess that Madonna was the woman who kicked off my crazy hormonal stage at an early age. Her video’s were just so erotic at the time and once you watched it, you couldn’t get enough of her.

Of course as I aged and Madonna’s videos got stranger, my attention was diverted toward girls my age rather than the Material Girl. I continued to follow her music fairly religiously but after the True Blue album, I completely lost interest. Anyway, while browsing the web today, I ran across a report that Madonna was turning 50 on August 16th. How time flies huh?

Happy Birthday Madonna! I’ll always remember you as that sexy Material Girl! ;)

A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila 2

TIlaTila had chosen Bobby as her lifetime partner during the debut season on a Shot of Love nearly a year ago on MTV. After being dumped by her man and ultimately getting her heart broken, Tila decides to give it another shot and has invited a second round of contestants back to her house who are in search of her affection.

With the season half over, I thought it was the best time to review what I felt about the show so far. In all honesty, I think this season has been far more entertaining than the last. There is definitely more drama in the house and the guys chosen have made this season so much fun to watch.

The incident between Chad, Bo, and Jay during Episode 4 had to be the wildest so far. With all the tension between the guys I knew that one of them had to snap. Jay started off as this macho bad ass but as the season progressed, I started to feel he was just compensating for his inadequacies. (He’s the smallest in the house). Chad and Bo however had been a joy to watch and Chad ended up getting thrown off the show for breaking Bo’s jaw.

A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila

Tila_TequilaIf any of you are into reality drama, you’ll definitely enjoy MTV’s, “A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila” (the myspace phenom). I had caught a few episodes of the show over the past few weeks and my instant reaction was, “Oh No! Not another Flavor of Love and I Love New York.”

What sets this show apart from the two other shows is the fact that Tila is a bisexual. Instead of just one gender of suitors, Tila has the opportunity to find a lifetime partner from both sexes. Thirty two men and women in all. All the clothing she has worn or lack thereof was actually the original reason I remained on the channel, but the show actually has gotten more entertaining overtime.

The latest episode “A Broken Heart”, definitely took this show to new heights. Tila literally took the girls to heaven, the boys to hell, and kicked off a lunatic who called himself a southern gentleman and elementary teacher. Furious from rejection, the man kicks, screams, fights, and throws things on his way out the door. If I recall correctly, the man who he lost to during the final cut, was sent to the hospital due to injuries he sustained during the brawl.

This show has definitely had its moments and I really want to know who the last man or woman standing will be. I’m not too sure how much drama will remain on the show since Tila seems to have a knack at booting all the idiots and blockheads off consistently. There are just six guys and six gals left, so the pickings are definitely getting slimmer.
