Lions for Lambs (DVD)
Lions for Lambs is more of a message than a movie. The film is basically Robert Redford’s attempt at a wakeup call, to get the public off their apathetic asses and realize how big a pickle the United States has put themselves in with this war going on in the Middle East.
The film is told in three main parts with a style similar to the Oscar award winning film Crash. Each section of this film is linked to each other in one way or another and slowly the audience will see it unravel itself. The film really didn’t have a solid plot, and it seemed to just move from one scene to the next without a real flow to it.
Robert Redford, Tom Cruise, and Meryl Streep all put on good performances, but none of them put out anything extraordinary. I give credit to Redford for attempting to produce a film with good intentions, but simply put, it just didn’t live up to the bill with such a top notch cast.
