5 things you didn’t know about me…

The rules are pretty straight forward. Write 5 things that people don’t know about you.

1. My hands shake. Literally. I sure some of you had the jitters from being hungry and tired. Well, my hands do this uncontrollably all the time. Its not very noticeable unless I’m holding an object and your looking directly at my hands. This problem started in my adolescence and has never gone away. Doctors have tried to diagnose it, but have been unsuccessful. Its a very odd occurrence because my regular activities are not hindered by my condition at all. Growing up the girls loved it, but I’ll keep the details to myself. haha

2. My handwriting is extra neat. According to those who read my post it notes or letters my handwriting is better than average. Isn’t it strange since my hands always shake? I guess I’ve learned to compensate for it without realizing it.

3. I have a soft spot for animals. Since I was a small child I’ve always had a conscience and sympathy for animals. When I’d see animals that were stray or injured, I would always try to nurse them back to health. Growing up I’d watch everything related to wildlife and at one point I seriously considered studying to become a zoologist. Obviously that dream was scratched and I became the next best thing. An educator. I still teach students to respect nature and wildlife.

4. I won 1st place in the science fair without a project! A classmate and I in elementary school had entered the science fair but did not attend the event. I do not remember the exact reason why we didn’t make it to the judging but I received a trophy anyway a few days later. We did enter another science fair and won 1st place based on our own merit. If I recall correctly, the title of the project was “How chicks react to different stimuli”.

5. I’m a product of private catholic schooling. I went to a private school for twelve years. I am the only one to complete school in a private institution within my family. I actually did extremely well throughout my education, but I think being in such a structured environment for so many years may have been part of the reason why I got into so much trouble my first few years out of high school. Thats a story in itself! I don’t regret everything that happened because it helped me grow as a person, but I think those were the darkest days of my life.

Passing the Torch.

Six random things about me…

I’ve been doing quite a few movie reviews lately and got tagged earlier today by Jhay over at The Pinoy Explorer. I’ve never really paid close attention to myself so this should be interesting.

Here we go.

    I. Im fascinated with anything related to science fiction and fantasy. I dont know if that makes me a geek or what, but I’ve always been an enthusiast when it involved these types of movies or books. My favorite book series is A Song of Ice and Fire and epic movies include The Lord of the Rings and Original Star Wars Trilogy.

II. I do all the webdesign and coding for a clothing company called SHOYOROLL. It is a company based out of Los Angeles California which was originally rooted on Guam. The owner is a great guy and the brand is slowly expanding its audience across the US Mainland. SHOYOROLL sponsors many Xtreme Sports athletes, particularly from the mixed martial arts arena. Kenny Florian is probrably one of the bigger names sponsored at this time.
