The Brave One (DVD)
The Brave One definitely raised some questions about certain aspects of my morality. As I sat on my couch watching this film, I actually found myself cheering for Erica (Jodie Foster), a New York City radio show host who fell victim to a violent attack in a park.
The performances by Jodie Foster and Terrance Howard were powerful and riveting, and you could definitely feel the frustrations, helplessness, anger, and grief both characters portrayed as the film progressed. Foster was at her best in her role, and the range of emotions displayed in this movie was incredible.
Although the cast was great, the storyline was pretty basic. It was predictable and lacked any real mystery to it. Nonetheless, this film was one of the best action melodramas I’ve seen in quite awhile and I would not hesitate to recommend this movie to you if you have not seen it yet.
