A Clash of Kings (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 2):
5/5
2007-02-17 17:43
I just finished with the 2nd book of the series A Song of Ice and Fire. Im really enjoying it so far. The plot thickens in this book with the Seven Kingdoms splitting into sections ruled by “Self-Proclaimed” Kings. Each claiming that they have the lineage to the throne.

A Feast for Crows (A Song of Ice and Fire):
4/5
2007-02-17 17:40
I have officially caught up with the entire Song of Ice and Fire series as of today. This is a good thing in one way, and not so good in another. I’ll start with the bad first. I hate waiting for the next book to come. It happened with the Wheel of Time and now it will happen with this series. Since I just started reading this saga October of last year, it was easy for me just to fly through all the books one after the next. I didnt have to wait a few years for the next installment to be published.

A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 1):
5/5

Before I begin my review and personal thoughts on this book, I just wanted to mention that I still have alot of respect for my favorite authors. JRR Tolkien, Margaret Weis, Tracy Hickman, Robert Jordan, and even my first fantasy author C.S. Lewis. They created a huge new world within my mind, and even at the age of 27 I still enjoy good fantasy books. It really takes me out of this reality that we live in.

A Storm of Swords (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 3):
5/5
2007-02-17 17:41
This is the 3rd installment of the epic saga Songs of Ice and Fire. It is also my favorite out of the three books that I’ve read so far. The storyline has thickened, the plots have become more complex, and Martin keeps killing off everyone!

Memoirs of a Geisha (Random House Large Print (Hardcover)):
4/5

When I first heard about this book, I did not care to pick it up to read. Matter a fact, I never expected to read it. I guess I was hesitant to waste my time on a so called “Woman’s Novel”. Im glad my wife asked for “QT” (quality time) and we watched the movie last weekend. The storyline caught my interest, and I decided to read the book despite the “Woman’s Novel” label.[more]

New Spring (A Wheel of Time Prequel Novel):
4/5
2007-02-17 17:46
I purchased “New Spring” because it provided a background to one of my favorite characters of the series, Lan Mandragoran, the uncrowned King of the Malkier. It also provided alot of background information on Moiraine Damodred and Siuane Sanche who in this book are still working to achieve their status as Aes Sedai. The book begins with the end of the Aiel War, and the fortelling of the Dragon Reborn. It ends with Lan and Moraine developing their relationship as Aes Sedai and Warder.

Prince Caspian (Narnia):
5/5
2007-08-17 07:40
The actual literary work written by C.S. Lewis is really short. With just a little over two hundred pages in length, an experienced reader can finish this book in a single sitting during their spare time on a weekend of before going to bed.
I personally enjoyed re-reading the book primarily because it brought back many nostalgic moments for me and it was one of the first books that actually made me an avid reader of fictional stories.

Rich Dad, Poor Dad:
5/5

I have always been very ambitious when it came to money. I’ve done MLM’s, direct marketing, and even tried a hand in traditional business. All these experiences have really built a foundation for my financial education. Through basically a trial and error process, I’ve lost big and earned big as well.
