Basic Instinct 2 (DVD)

basic-instinct-2 Those who mentioned that Sharon Stone was too old for this film need to get their eyes checked. At 49 years of age, Sharon Stone has aged gracefully. Sure she had some plastic surgery done, but she still looks incredibly hot for being practically twice my age.

I looked over the reviews when this film first hit the box office and I was suprised at how many people actually trashed this film. Most critics began bashing it even before it was released. After watching the film, I will say the movie was unfairly criticized.

The acting was done very well. Stone was amazing. She was sexy, seductive, and manipulative. She played her role exactly as she was suppose to. I thought she was more lustful and evil in this film than she was in the first. I loved it. I dont understand why many people thought her acting was poorly done.

The screenplay was also about as twisted as the original. I was trying to figure out who killed who, and I was still a bit lost at the end of it all. I thought it was great. I enjoy watching films where I am left trying to sort things out on my own.

Overall the film was a good one. It seems that many people are bashing this film just because it exists. Get over it already. Sharon Stone still has it and doesn’t need Michael Douglas to make a great movie. Grab your popcorn, your lover, and enjoy the show!

Synopsis:

Novelist Catherine Tramell is once again in trouble with the law, and Scotland Yard appoints psychiatrist Dr. Michael Glassto evaluate her. Though, like Detective Nick Curran before him, Glass is entranced by Tramell and lured into a seductive game.

  • The Spirit (Latest Theatrical Trailer) -#

spirit_ver10Adapted from the Will Eisner's graphic novels, "The Spirit" tells the story of a man who fakes his own death and fights crime from the shadows of Central City. The Octopus (Samuel L. Jackson) -- who kills anyone unfortunate enough to see his face -- has other plans. He's going to wipe out the entire city. The Spirit tracks this coldhearted killer from the city's rundown warehouses, to the damp catacombs, to the windswept waterfront...all the while facing a bevy of beautiful women who either want to seduce, love or kill the masked crusader.

kimbo_slice_elite_xcI've been in a pick'em league over at S2 to I figured I post my selections here on the site during each mixed martial art event.

As much as I would like to see Kimbo get a loss it wont happen versus Shamrock. Shamrock's going to try and prove a point and stand and bang and he's going to eat fist. lol. Did anyone see the weigh in's for Gina Carano? She had to bear all to make weight!

    My predictions:
    Kimbo Slice - KO1
    Jake Shields-KO R2
    Andre Arlovski-KO R1
    Gina Carano- Sub R2
    Murilo "Ninja" Rua-KO R3
    Yoko - Sub R1
