  1. i love both games..i remember spending hours playing it with my friends..what i like about MK is the finishing moves that is unique to every player and StreetFighter is a classic! :)

  2. street fighter. it was more of an influence than mk ever was. combat was much better too. mk had a great gimmick in the fatalities though.

  3. I started out with the SF series at the arcades. Stopped at SFIII after repeated humiliating defeats at the hands of younger punks (who always took the oppurtunity to take the empty seat regardless of invitations or rather the lack of it).

It was then I moved on to consoles, and I must say MK has the edge over SF in terms of graphics and ending moves. The past years, I’ve been distracted a lot by newer players such as DoA (talk about eye-candy- haha).

Anyways, factoring nostalgia and fond memories (except the public trashing), I’s say SF get the prize.

P.S.- just so you know, I got the following error message when trying to post a comment earlier on (with request for gravatar sign-up), so trying now without.

  6. Street Fighter. SFIII’s graphics are awesome. The animation is really really smooth and there’s plenty of it. The combat is also much better than MK in my opinion.

Fresh off the Wire

  • The Spirit (Latest Theatrical Trailer) -#

spirit_ver10Adapted from the Will Eisner's graphic novels, "The Spirit" tells the story of a man who fakes his own death and fights crime from the shadows of Central City. The Octopus (Samuel L. Jackson) -- who kills anyone unfortunate enough to see his face -- has other plans. He's going to wipe out the entire city. The Spirit tracks this coldhearted killer from the city's rundown warehouses, to the damp catacombs, to the windswept waterfront...all the while facing a bevy of beautiful women who either want to seduce, love or kill the masked crusader.

kimbo_slice_elite_xcI've been in a pick'em league over at S2 to I figured I post my selections here on the site during each mixed martial art event.

As much as I would like to see Kimbo get a loss it wont happen versus Shamrock. Shamrock's going to try and prove a point and stand and bang and he's going to eat fist. lol. Did anyone see the weigh in's for Gina Carano? She had to bear all to make weight!

    My predictions:
    Kimbo Slice - KO1
    Jake Shields-KO R2
    Andre Arlovski-KO R1
    Gina Carano- Sub R2
    Murilo "Ninja" Rua-KO R3
    Yoko - Sub R1
