A Clash of Kings

ClashofKingsTitle: A Clash of Kings
Series: A Song of Ice and Fire
Author: George R. R. Martin
Publisher: Spectra; Reissue edition (September 5, 2000)
Paperback: 1040 pages
ISBN: 0553579908

I just finished with the 2nd book of the series A Song of Ice and Fire. Im really enjoying it so far. The plot thickens in this book with the Seven Kingdoms splitting into sections ruled by “Self-Proclaimed” Kings. Each claiming that they have the lineage to the throne. Just as with the first book A Game of Thrones, what captivated me was Martin’s writing style. I actually found myself cheering for the most unlikely people and feeling heavy-hearted even for the characters I thought that were just plain sinful. Im just waiting for my roomate to finish up book three, A Storm of Swords. He actually read the first two books even before I started the series, but it seems that I’ve caught up quickly. LOL. I didn’t expect to get through both books in a month.

Current Character Favorites: Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, and Bran Stark

  1. Coincidence! My copy of “A Game of Thrones” arrived just yesterday! Am still reading “Narnia” though (”Prince Caspia” atm). Very much looking forward to the first book of this saga.

  • The Spirit (Latest Theatrical Trailer) -#

spirit_ver10Adapted from the Will Eisner's graphic novels, "The Spirit" tells the story of a man who fakes his own death and fights crime from the shadows of Central City. The Octopus (Samuel L. Jackson) -- who kills anyone unfortunate enough to see his face -- has other plans. He's going to wipe out the entire city. The Spirit tracks this coldhearted killer from the city's rundown warehouses, to the damp catacombs, to the windswept waterfront...all the while facing a bevy of beautiful women who either want to seduce, love or kill the masked crusader.

kimbo_slice_elite_xcI've been in a pick'em league over at S2 to I figured I post my selections here on the site during each mixed martial art event.

As much as I would like to see Kimbo get a loss it wont happen versus Shamrock. Shamrock's going to try and prove a point and stand and bang and he's going to eat fist. lol. Did anyone see the weigh in's for Gina Carano? She had to bear all to make weight!

    My predictions:
    Kimbo Slice - KO1
    Jake Shields-KO R2
    Andre Arlovski-KO R1
    Gina Carano- Sub R2
    Murilo "Ninja" Rua-KO R3
    Yoko - Sub R1
