ESPN covers Guam CockFight

I was on the shoyoroll forums today doing my regular maintenance on the site when a member placed a link to a article on espn.com which covered one of Guam’s cockfighting events. Its always good to see Guam mentioned on a big name website like ESPN so I spent a few minutes reading the article. It was the typical thoughts of an American man. Our island is small, they have little to do, entertainment is limited, blah blah blah. I was fine with that.

There was a line that bothered me though. It really struck a nerve.

Guam, though, is not exactly Manhattan (23 percent live below the poverty line), and the crowd was not exactly the upper crust of the population. They say if an American man walks through a particular poor village in Guam, families will offer their daughters.

I tell you this much. I have nothing against Howlies (americans) visiting the island. I myself am very proud to be an American citizen and I thank them for preserving many freedoms that we have today. But if an American man walked through a poor village on the island, he would not be walking away with one of the local ladies. He’d be running home with two black eyes and broken bones for even thinking about trying to flirt with one of them. The Chamorros (locals) are a proud people. I dont know any Chamorro man who would offer their daughter to a howlie boi on the sole reason of money….

  2. I was born and raised in Guam, and I can tell you that this White Guy’s Story is totally untrue…..We don’t give up our daughters to White Men who are walking through our neighborhoods.LOL

This guy probably had a bad experience on Island and wanted to spread false stories to get even.

00Another great episode by Manswers. Every man should be getting their other half to start drinking beer daily. One full cup size from drinking something all men love? What a perfect alternative to breast implants! Start chugging away ladies! A full size "C" cup is calling your name!

  • The Spirit (Latest Theatrical Trailer) -#

spirit_ver10Adapted from the Will Eisner's graphic novels, "The Spirit" tells the story of a man who fakes his own death and fights crime from the shadows of Central City. The Octopus (Samuel L. Jackson) -- who kills anyone unfortunate enough to see his face -- has other plans. He's going to wipe out the entire city. The Spirit tracks this coldhearted killer from the city's rundown warehouses, to the damp catacombs, to the windswept waterfront...all the while facing a bevy of beautiful women who either want to seduce, love or kill the masked crusader.

kimbo_slice_elite_xcI've been in a pick'em league over at S2 to I figured I post my selections here on the site during each mixed martial art event.

As much as I would like to see Kimbo get a loss it wont happen versus Shamrock. Shamrock's going to try and prove a point and stand and bang and he's going to eat fist. lol. Did anyone see the weigh in's for Gina Carano? She had to bear all to make weight!

    My predictions:
    Kimbo Slice - KO1
    Jake Shields-KO R2
    Andre Arlovski-KO R1
    Gina Carano- Sub R2
    Murilo "Ninja" Rua-KO R3
    Yoko - Sub R1
