I was reading up on a little history about ancient civilizations and something occured to me. Ancient Sumeria was one of the first civilizations to have existed on earth. Today, the land of Ancient Sumeria is known as the infamous country of Iraq. I found it pretty interesting because of the current state of Iraq and the rest of the world. Could this War on Terror we are fighting on the lands of our first civilizations result in the end of civilization? A coincidence or a conspiracy? If this is teh beginning of World War III, it will be fought conventionally at first, but may end with the use of nuclear weapons. If a nuclear fallout ever occured, our world as we know it could come to an end and civilization would cease to exist. Just a little something to think about…

The World Series of Poker 2006
I’ve always been a big fan of playin cards. In college I was a huge spades and pasoi player. I could start a game at 9pm and end the next morning around 6am. That has not changed a bit. The only thing that has changed is the type of game I play. Lately, its been all Texas Holdem. It seems to be the game of choice today.
Guam’s very own Santino Sgambelluri recently won the Paradise Poker Championships (Holdem Tourney) in the Bahamas, and he is now being sponsored to enter the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas this June. This is just huge for Guam. Im pretty sure he is the first from our island. A $10,000 buy-in with a chance to earn millions. I think the photo above is a aussie who won 7.5 million dollars at one of the holdem tourneys. What a rush it must be! I wish you the best of luck Santino! Six Seven One Represent!
We be Clubbin…
I dont know about everyone who reads my blog, but has clubbin’ been over-rated? I went out last night for the first time in months and I just wanted to go home. The smoke, heat, and loud music just kept killing my buzz. I don’t think Im a clubber anymore.
I remember back in high school when there was nothing I wanted to do more than hit the clubs. There was a point in my life where I would go out at least five nights a week. I had a schedule I followed religiously that lasted for at least two years. My club week started on Wednesday and ended on Sunday. I had Monday and Tuesday to regroup and do it again! It was fun while it lasted, but I dont know how my body tolerated that sort of abuse. Drinking, dancing, and ahem, till the wee hours in the morning, then getting up to “try” and go to work sober. I dont think there wasn’t a day I didn’t go to work without a hangover.
Fortunately, I met my wife and slowly those bad habits changed. Now when I go out, I really cant stand it for very long. I prefer to bbq at the beach in the evening, pound beers with my pari’s (people who Im a godfather to), and talk shit like I know what Im talking about.. haha Whats your story?
