Indiana Jones IV Trailer

teaser_02Have you seen the trailer yet for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? It was absolutely amazing! I can’t wait for this film to be released.

The Raiders of the Lost Ark had always been my all time favorite film out of the original trilogy, but just from this trailer alone, The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull may surpass all my expectations.

The score sounded incredible and the action looked terrific. I have incredibly high expectations for this film, and I can’t wait for it to be released! With legendary director Steven Speilberg controlling the action and George Lucas writing the script, how can this film go wrong. Mark you calendars for May 22nd! This is going to be one incredible ride!

Kobe issues a challenge to Bynum

The Sky HookLegendary all star center Kareem Abdul Jabbar was well known for his unique hook shot during his years as a professional basketball player. The “Skyhook” as it was affectionately named, eventually became his trademark shot and was one of the most feared offensive weapons of his generation. After Kareem retired in 1989, the shot retired with him and we haven’t seen it used since.

This may all change with the challenge issued by Kobe Bryant to Laker’s center Andrew Bynum after their latest win against the Miami Heat. Bynum who is currently injured, has been under the tutorlidge of Kareem since he was drafted 10th overall in 2005 by the Los Angeles Lakers.

This is what Bryant had to say after making a left handed hook shot in the fourth quarter against the Miami Heat.

I hope Bynum was watching,” Bryant said, smiling. I challenged him to throw the sky hook in the game and he hasn’t. So I hope he was watching.” Source:PE.COM

I’d love to see the skyhook used again in Lakerland. It will truly bring the days of “Showtime” back to Los Angeles. With Shaq in the wild west now, it will surely be one of the most memorable moments in NBA history, if we see Bynum throw the “skyhook” over the Big Aristotle during this years NBA playoffs.

American Gladiators Return!

American GladiatorsNBC’s two hour premiere of American Gladiators aired last night and did not disappoint. Although the dialogue from Hulk Hogan, Laila Ali, and the contestants seemed overdone, the events completely made up for it and there was some really good head to head action during the course of the show.

The first thing that came to mind while watching the contest was how awesomely huge the Gladiators were. The guys in particular were not only muscled down to the toe, but were all physically gifted in height, speed, and agility. Standing an average of 6’3 and over 200 pounds (based on their stats aired last night), these guys were definitely not your average Joes.

The girls were also freakishly huge and unfortunately unattractive, but I guess thats what is to be expected from a show of this nature. Out of the six women, Siren and Crush were the better looking ones, while Helga reminded me of one of those German bartenders who would beat you up and spit you out if you even looked at her in the wrong way.

As for the arena events themselves, they all looked very promising. I was particularly happy about the fact that they brought back Assault and Hang Tough. Those were my two favorite events along with Atlasphere (not in the current event lineup) and they are still very exciting to watch. The new events called Earthquake and Pyramid also were entertaining, and hopefully some of these new contestants will come up with a strategy to conquer them because they definitely did not look easy.

The final event the Eliminator is back and better than ever. The contenders absolutely look exhausted after this event and it is definitely not a walk in the park as it seemed in the original show. The most exciting portion from last nights show occurred during the closing minutes of the first female Eliminator and I could not believe the outcome. This eliminator is truly a test of stamina and will power.

The show definitely had a promising start. If all the contestants are as exciting as the first five (one female had to be replaced) have been, this will definitely be added to my weekly television schedule.
