The Ultimate Fighter 9 : Send Pierce HOME!

Time to send this fool home. He’s a joke and makes the entire USA team look bad. It isn’t about the ipod incident or the fact that he discussed USA fighting strategies (which was f’ed up by the way) with the UK team either. Just from watching the past few shows you can see that the guy doesn’t want to be in the house, doesn’t appreciate the opportunity, doesn’t care for his teammates, and does not want to fight. All the negative energy he’s brings is just pathetic and I don’t see how he helps the American Team at all. Ship his monkey ass home already!

Off Topic: As much as I like the UK fighters, I got Dangerous Dan Henderson beating Mike Bisping via TKO in the 2nd round! I can’t stand Bisping. BOO!

Its Over : Pacquiao destroys Hatton

One of the most anticipated fights of the year, became one of the most lopsided victories for Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao with a dominating performance against Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas Nevada. With a little under two rounds Pacquiao was able to defeat Hatton with a devastating left hook which left Hatton on the canvas for several minutes.

To be honest with everyone, there really is nothing Pacquiao cannot do. Hatton came in as the aggressor and left as the loser with Pacquiao picking his shots and landing his punches at will. After Hatton went down in the first, you could see that Pacquiao smelt blood.

I hope Floyd Mayweather Jr. is ready to bang because we all have witnessed who many already consider the greatest pound for pound fighter of his time, just rip through what many thought would be he toughest opponent yet. Is Manny Pacquiao the greatest boxer the world has ever seen? I guess only time will tell. One thing I do know is, the fans everywhere are going nuts rights now and President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo should consider making May 3rd a new holiday! haha.

UFC 92: Another Piece of the Puzzle

On December 27, the UFC will be one step closer to solving the puzzle that is the Heavyweight Championship. UFC 91 Saw Brock Lesnar defeat the legendary Randy Couture to solidify his contention for the unified UFC Heavyweight title. The other half of that hotly contended title comes down to a matchup between jiu jitsu technicians Frank Mir and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, whose own legendary status rivals that of Couture.

The splintering of the heavyweight title into multiple components is a result of Couture’s dissatisfaction with the UFC as an organization and the fact that he left them with the need to create an interim belt in his absence.  Couture was widely touted as the best heavyweight in the world, second to only Fedor Emelianenko, whose own differences with the UFC practically rule out the possibilities of him ever stepping into the octagon.  Ironically, Couture is no longer involved in the title race, yet his actions were the catalyst for the division between the belts.

So now we are back to the UFC, back to the quest for the title which, in all likelihood won’t resolve the looming question of who the world’s best heavyweight is, but will definitely answer the question as to who the best heavyweight in the UFC is.  Which for many people,  is all that matters.
