I Want You Exclusive (Making the Band 4)

MTB4Bryan Michael Cox has done it yet again. The multiple Grammy award winning song writer and producer has helped to catapult yet another of Diddy’s Making the Band productions into instant fan favorites.

I’m not too sure how everyone else feels about the single “I Want You Exclusive”, but I’m really digging the track released by Diddy’s new band. Making the Band 4 is definitely the highlight season of the franchise thus far and I think these guys are more than capable of performing well in the music industry under the tutorlidge and guidance of the BadBoy record label.

While searching for more information on the song and its lyrics, I unexpectedly came across a copy of the song which was hosted on Zshare. I wasn’t really too surprised that there was a hard copy of the song floating on the net, but what was disgusting was the fact that some people were trying to profit from it and sell it off their websites.

I hope that this premature release won’t slow the bands sales of the single when its finally released on the market, and I’ll be sure to support the group by purchasing a legit copy when the release is official.

Anyway, here are the lyrics for the song which I located at Any Song Lyrics dot com.

My picks for Making the Band 4

I thought this season of MTV’s Making the Band was the best produced so far. The amount of talent Diddy was able to recruit for the show was off the charts. It is truly amazing to see the amount of talent we have in the general public and I’m sure that this show just scratched the surface. Whats even more depressing is that fact that most will NEVER get a record deal or even be heard by a large audience. Its very unfortunate when I listen to some of these terrible performers getting record deals while these truly talented individuals are getting the bad end of the stick.

Back to my actual reason for writing this post. When the season began, I had originally chosen Julius to make the band. His voice was so pure and he seemed to be a very humble person who deserved a shot. When his knee blew out during the dance rehearsal however, I knew his days in the house were numbered.

After Julius and Carlos (two of the four I hoped would make it) were eliminated from the show, I actually felt pretty depressed about it. Unfortunately, accidents and personal issues happen in the middle of things like this, but business is business and producers have no time to wait for these things to be resolved. Thats just the nature of the music industry. I hope for nothing but the best for the two of them in the future.

These are my selections for the band based on my observations. Brian A, Robert, Willie, and Donnie. Yes, I chose the white boy. He has not only proved that he can sing and dance, he has proven to me that he is dedicated to making himself better and has learned to take criticism. He did get into some trouble with Diddy awhile back, but I think he has really taken strides in his goal to get better. As for the other three, I just feel that they have a great mix of voices and they will work well together.

My other considerations: I really dig Q and Big Mike. but at the end of the day, I just don’t think that they are what Diddy is looking for. Q is a great dancer and motivator, but I think the four I chose have an edge on him vocally which will make the difference in the competition. As for Mike, as much as I would like him to succeed, I really can’t see him making the last cut and lose the forty odd pounds Diddy requested him to lose in just those two short months.

Who are your selections for the band? Reasons?

Jordin Sparks is our American Idol

American IdolJordin Sparks was simply amazing last night. Her voice was so perfect it actually sent goosebumps down my spine. After hearing Blake perform the song “This is my Now” I knew even before Jordin went up, that her rendition of the song would win America’s hearts. She clearly outclassed Blake vocally with that tune.

I actually thought that America was going to vote for the wrong person. The crowd seemed to cheer much more for Blake during the evening, and it just seemed that people were voting based on popularity rather than vocally. After 74 million votes and at the end of a pretty disappointing season, America got it right. Congratulations Jordin! You deserve it!

Lyrics to the song “This is my Now” can be found here. Jordin’s myspace can be found here and the actual performance can be seen here.

Randy Jackson’s early prediction that “curly hair will win this year,” came to fruition last night as Jordin Sparks became the sixth American Idol. After receiving more votes than any U.S. president — a majority of the 74 million in total — the 17-year-old Arizona powerhouse singer edged out Seattle beatboxer Blake Lewis, 25, during the sixth season finale.
