A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila 2

TIlaTila had chosen Bobby as her lifetime partner during the debut season on a Shot of Love nearly a year ago on MTV. After being dumped by her man and ultimately getting her heart broken, Tila decides to give it another shot and has invited a second round of contestants back to her house who are in search of her affection.

With the season half over, I thought it was the best time to review what I felt about the show so far. In all honesty, I think this season has been far more entertaining than the last. There is definitely more drama in the house and the guys chosen have made this season so much fun to watch.

The incident between Chad, Bo, and Jay during Episode 4 had to be the wildest so far. With all the tension between the guys I knew that one of them had to snap. Jay started off as this macho bad ass but as the season progressed, I started to feel he was just compensating for his inadequacies. (He’s the smallest in the house). Chad and Bo however had been a joy to watch and Chad ended up getting thrown off the show for breaking Bo’s jaw.

Jabbawockeez are America’s Best Dance Crew!

dcAfter a record 38 million votes, the world has spoken. The Jabbawockeez are the OFFICIAL champions of America’s Best Dance Crew. After a huge disappointment last week with Status Quo stealing the top spot, I was ecstatic to see that the crew who truly deserved to win had their banner raised high.

Jabba wore the best ensembles, were the most technical, and put on the most memorable performances this season. They definitely set the bar for future crews for the upcoming seasons and I honestly believe that their performances won’t be matched for a long long time.

Jabba has inspired so many dance enthusiasts to start their own crews and I expect many to try and emulate what Jabba has accomplished. Its an incredible compliment to a crew who truly has become the future of urban freestyle hip hop!

Noooo! Kaba Modern in the bottom TWO!

Yuri TagIt was a very tough night for the final four crews on America’s Best Dance Crew. Taking on a Broadway musical and giving it a hip hop feel was extremely difficult, and although all four teams tried their best, I saw hardly anything Broadway about their performances at all.

By the end of the show, we witnessed fan favorite Yuri Tag of Kaba Modern full of tears because of a mistake made in her routine, but it was Break Sk8 who ultimately paid the price for their lack of “Broadway” in their final appearance.

Now with only the top three crews remaining, Kaba Modern, Jabbawockeez, and Status Quo, the competition reaches its pinnacle because of the theme for their upcoming battle. The show shifts its focus to old school hip hop and you can bet that the expectations for their performances will be at an all time high. I expect all three judges to rain down hard on any crew who falls even a tad bit short of their A game. Its crunch time and its time to raise the bar.

Prediction for next week: I expect the final two crews to be Kaba Modern and the Jabbawockeez. Status Quo looked great and they deserve to be in the top 3, but I don’t think they have nearly the same talent level the two other crews bring to the table.
