The Author: My full name is Christian T. Bais. I have mixed heritage of Chamorro, Filipino, and Japanese and I currently reside on the beautiful island of Guam. Music is in my blood and I’ve been raised around it all my life. I listen to everything from hip hop to heavy metal. As long as it gets my head bobbing, I’ll be more than happy to listen to it. I currently work for the Government of Guam and other hobbies include critiquing films, eating out, import cars, web design, and bodybuilding.

CRS: My interests are jiu jitsu, MMA, video games, sports, and of course movies. My musical tastes are wide open to whatever appeals to me at the moment, however my four main musical staples are: Bob Marley, Tupac, Jack Johnson, and Slightly Stoopid. Im currently a graduate student at the University of Guam, but when I’m not in class or spending time with my fam I’m either training MMA, gaming online, or at the beach.

The Domain: Why 7milesdown? The name 7milesdown was conceived by a former band mate of mine who related the depth of the Mariana’s Trench to the location of the island in which we all lived. The island of Guam is located less than 50 miles from the greatest known depth on earth – The Mariana’s Trench. Its depth? You probably guessed it by now. 7 Miles Deep.

7milesdown had originally been purchased for the purpose of promoting my former band, but after the release of an album and several successful years performing, the band called it quits to embark on other various personal ventures. Although the band had separated, the domain remained under my ownership and in 2004, I decided to use the domain as a personal journal space on the web.
