The Twilight Saga: New Moon (Theaters)

We enjoyed every moment of the film–just about every scene leaves you at the edge of your seat, wondering what’s going to happen next. Even the ending makes you crave the next sequel (“Eclipse”).
Now that Bella (Kristen Stewart) is 18, the rest of the world seems to change before her eyes. Secrets revealed, nemeses return, and jealous rage takes a new form. Edward (Robert Pattinson) decides that he wants Bella to have a normal life–one without him–so the Cullens leave Forks without a trace. Bella is left behind to deal with her extremely broken heart and dreams beyond her measure. Somehow, her broken heart leads her to a closer relationship with Jacob (Taylor Lautner) who turns out to be someone – or something – else. But you’ll have to watch the movie to find out the rest.
Since I don’t have the luxury of reading all the books, I’m really looking forward to watching Eclipse (expected to be released June 30, 2010).

I am by no means a critic by credential, but I'd like to think I have good judgment when it comes to looking for pecularities and oddities in books, music, and films. I am especially fond of all things out of the ordinary and nonconventional. Palao'an CHamoru yu', born and raised on the island where "kicking back" sufficiently describes our lifestyle.

good review leen. I thought the movie was better than the first but nothing really spectacular. The CGI reminded me of “The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe” for some odd reason and some of the cheesy dialog could have been left out.
The character development of Jacob was decent, and I actually felt sorry for the guy by the films end. He seemed like a really good person stuck in a bad predicament.
I agree that New Moon was infinitely better than the first movie they had. Replacing the director was a brilliant move. The characters were more animated and lively, maybe they all took acting lessons?
I was slightly disappointed at the abrupt ending. I understand they wanted a cliffhanger, but the sudden end seemed too choppy.
Overall awesome movie, although the books are so much better (but that’s just me speaking from a booklover’s point of view.)
I agree it’s a lot better than the first, but that’s still not saying much. The acting still left a lot to be desired but definitely not as bad as the first. In fact, not much acting was actually needed. Stare, cheesy dialogue, stare. That’s pretty much the challenge the actors faced. The best thing about the series is still the music they use in the movie…
And Bella is a tease.
Glad to hear people got their money’s worth with The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
“Bite me” “No” “I thought you were dead” “Bite me” “No” ” Let’s vote on it” “we vote yes” “Marry me” THE END.
haha…but seriously the movie is pretty entertaining. It’s good to see the series finally get away from “high school” mode and start growing (a little bit).
That pretty much sums it up. So much screaming when Jacob took his shirt of. Made me deaf.. LOL…. 40 year old moms loving Jacob… tsk tsk… haha!!!
No doubt bro. I’ve seen a ton of Twilight moms but I have yet to see a Twilight Cougar. I guess Harry Potter has got those on lockdown already! Hey!
Wow, nice read. Nowadays it is hard to run into such strong opinions. Has someone tested new moon dvd US giveaway?
