Deadliest Warrior (Spike)

Deadliest Warrior is Spike TV’s latest attempt at reality television. In this series, two of history’s most dangerous and notorious warriors are pitted against each other in computer generated one on one combat.
Experts from each art who have backgrounds in the weaponry and history of these warriors are selected to help run various tests using multiple forms of the latest cutting edge technology. At the end of these tests, the data collected is inputted in a computer where a simulated battle takes place and the winner of the contest is decided based on 1000 computer generated fights.
So far, Spike has released two episodes successful episodes. The first pitted the Apache versus Gladiator while the second pitted the Samurai versus Viking. So far, my predictions have been perfect with both the Apache and Samurai beating their respective competition. I’m on the verge of going 3-0 today if my pick takes out his latest rival.
Tonight’s episode features the spartan versus the ninja. Growing up I was a huge fan of the ninja, but against a spartan, I don’t think he’ll stand a chance. As much as I love my Asian ancestry, I have to go with the Spartan to win this one. The ninja is definitely more stealthy and deceptive, but in one and one combat, I think the spartan will just overwhelm a ninja with his strength and selection of weapons. Who do you think is the deadliest warrior? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!

I’ve watched every show up to now and i would really want to see King Aurther vs Julius Caesar
I want to see, A street wise hitman go up against a corrupt nypd. Grew up in the big apple and as a kid i got to see some pretty sick stuff out there. The cop can use all his equipment. The hitmans arsenal will include a cut down silenced .308 rifle like the ones I grew up seeing. Semiauto. Silenced ruger .22 pistol. Hidden spring loaded ice pick laced with cyanide paste.Spiked brass knuckles poisened, A garote for strangulations and decapitation, and the classic pipe bomb. Trust me I know what i’m talking about.
It is very unlikely that they gave too much credit to the blunderbuss. It is a well known fact by gun affecionados that the blunderbuss is equavalent to a modern sawed off shotgun at close range with a massive amount of penetration and blunt force trauma combined.Depending with what you put in it ( In many cases even steel nails were used) I opted for the knight myself and was disapointed when he lost but we have to face the facts. And this is that the pirate was technologicaly more prepared for this scenerio. I was surprised the knight lasted that long to begin with.
i think they should have a mediaval assasin vs. a ninja.
As in like the character from Assassins Creed? That would be pretty interesting.
It could just be me but I think they’re running out of ideas for this show which sucks cause it does kick ass. Next they’re going to come out with werewolves vs vampires or something like that.
There are still plenty of good matchups. Genghis Khan vs. Alexander the Great is one that comes to mind, or at least warriors from those armies. They have been pretty creative with the show, pushing the boundaries of what is considered a warrior. I’m sure they’ll be able to come up with plenty of material for more seasons.
i would like to see deadliest warrior do something like a aztec warrior vs an egyptian warrior, i think that would be exiting, or like Popay (or Pope) (pueblo Indian) leader of the pueblo revolt vs an elite spaniard soldier, that would be cool.

i think the gladiator should have won.how did the apache get a shield.they didnt test it.even the shield for th gladiator.
aztec warriors dont kill.they capture the enemys.then sacrafices the in the church.
I wanted to recommend some warriors but cant find the official site (can you) i wanted to recommend the Saxon Huscarls as some of europes finest infantry of the day. Another would be the knights templer, as for the terriorists i dont think they should be mentioned.
World’s Deadliest Warrior – Spartan Vs Ninja.
Very disapointing. I could list out various errors but what good would it do.
1. Ninjas do not have a ‘War Cry’…
2. Ninjas use the black egg to blind the enemy… and then they go for the kill… NOT run away.
3. NO HUMAN can recover after having powdered Glass pieces thrown in their eyes.
4. Ninjas are assasins NOT warriors. It’s like sending HITMAN to fight wars in Afghanistan.
5. Ninjas are all about stealth, skill, accuracy, speed. They have NO room for errors… why was this not taken into consideration?
6. Spartans would probably meet their match if you had coupled them with KNIGHTS.
I am not sure what you would do with this information… But i do request you to think about the people that are fans of your program, and are quite shocked to see
such professionals making decisions influenced by a stupid movie like 300. it’s quite obvious the final call was biased.

I just re-watched the Taliban vs. IRA one recently. I like how it gets down to 4 taliban and one IRA member left…then they forget to mention that the last IRA member happens to be Jason Bourne. He does all kinds of crazy Rambo-esque stunts and dispatches of the last of the Taliban members. It is actually pretty funny to watch.
do they have an updated listing on the matchups? I need to look that up.
i would like to see force reconnaissance(Marine SF) vs navy SEALS both training is very similar and they are the most elite warriors in the world
I think the maori warrior had no chance against the shaolin monk with or without weapons
