damn CRS, after reading all your reviews the only thing we have in common are the comedies! lol. Quarantine was actually a sleeper hit for me. When I heard about it I was like blah blah same story line but I'm still going to watch it. I went in the theater with LOW expectations but came out pretty satisfied. It's just one of those movies where you Can't be a critic, turn the brain off, get some popcorn and enjoy! I wanted to review this one but you beat me to the punch!

Cool. It's good to get different perspectives. I'm all about innovation and different methods, but I just couldn't get into it. I get what they were going for with the First person viewpoint, I just thought it wasn't as good in execution.

Hi there Trench!

We have to disagree with you on this one. We actually liked this film from what we recall and based on our review. Maybe it was because we watched it on cinema. The bigger screen and having all the sound effects pumped up to a level some home theaters can only reach scared us senseless!

Maybe because we were fans of Cloverfield too?

By the way, can you also update our link in your linkage? www.reeladvice.net is our new address since January! Thanks! :)

"‘Cloverfield’, which is told from a first person camera view point. I just couldn’t get into the movie due to the shaky cam effects. It wasn’t so horrible that I started vomiting or got motion sickness, but it just seemed way too contrived."

It was somewhat contrived but it was original as well, something rare in cinema. They broke from the norm of shooting it in the "standard" way and it paid off beautifully.

I am going to have watch the original, [REC.], before watching Quarantine.
