I love BJ but he definitely got worked over in that fight. Did he undertrain? Nobody knows except for BJ and his crew and I'm sure that is something he's seriously considering. I know UFC's portrayal can be biased and is strictly for hype, but I remember other UFC Primetimes for BJ other fights and he definitely looked more serious and bloodthirsty than he did coming into this fight, especially for Sherk and Stevenson. I'm not making excuses for BJ but comparing the 1st fight fight with GSP to the 2nd fight, its hard to believe that they could've become so unevenly matched if they both had equally intense training. Again, only BJ and co. know for sure.

HAHA!! i called it perfectly, my earlier post stated: "GSP is gunna pummel Penn for four rounds. UMM can you say "foot in mouth Mr. Penn," you and all your naive fans that talked so much trash with you can keep that foot in your mouth for a couple months. Go KENFLO!

Yes the takedowns were absolutely the key to GSP winning the split decision the first time they met in the ring. And????

trench - you said "Including those takedowns that cost him the title the last time they met.".
you're pretty wrong. The winner of GSP vs Penn 1 would go and fight Hughes for the title. GSP won. GSP got injured, so BJ stepped in and faced Hughes instead of Georges, even though he lost. BJ lost the title fight against Hughes.
So even thoug he lost against GSP, he still got the title shot. So his loss to GSP didn't cost him the title, cause he got to fight for it anyways.

Justin - Did you see his most recent training for cardio? I absolutely believe he's conditioned for this fight. He called GSP out. Now its time to lay it down.

Trench... Penn is not a muscular guy, he can pick and drop weight classes like nothing.. But his fights at 175-205 have been gasers when he loses. GSP on the other hand walks around at 210 this guy is huge, him dropping a weightclass would ultimately tire him out badly, and make him a BJ xD.... I understand and know that BJ is a good fighter.. Used to be one of my favorites until I found his personality... GSP is still my favorite fighter... despite his bad english he has a good heart and is a nice guy.

Lionel, GSP was battered so badly he was admitted to the hospital. BJ didn't have a mark on him. GSP won by laying and praying, he took BJ down at will but did nothing with it

[...] weekend is the much anticipated rematch between UFC welterweight champ Georges St. Pierre and UFC Lightweight champ BJ “The Prodigy” Penn. You’d be hard pressed to find an MMA fan that isn’t looking forward to this rematch. [...]
