Last season, the selections were very easy. The top two crews that stood out from the crowd were the Jabbawockeez and Kaba Modern. I had selected Kaba Modern first and Jabba second after their debut performances and both crews ultimately made it to the top three with Jabba taking the title. This season however the crews have definitely been less consistent making it harder to choose the top crew for the season. I actually had four crews on my radar after week two.
The Boogie Bots, SoReal Cru, Fanny Pak, and A.S.I.I.D. All had very unique styles and I particularly liked the fact that three out of the four crews mentioned had females in them. Just this past week, A.S.I.I.D was eliminated from the competition, so that left three crews to choose from. First there was Fanny Pak. As much as I would like them to win, I just can’t see a crew without any hip hop influences win the show. Hip Hop is where its at and when it comes down to the final three, Fanny Pak’s unique style won’t be enough to get them in.
Next, the Boogie Bots. My favorite B-Boy crew hands down in the competition. Can they make it to the final three? Definitely. They are a really smooth crew who have really stepped it up the last few weeks. I like the fact that they are risk takers and are willing to try new things while still remaining true to their B-Boy style. If my pick for the show gets eliminated, I would definitely like to see these boys win the entire thing.
Finally, my pick for America’s Best Dance Crew. SoReal Cru. At this point, any crew can win the competition, but what sets this crew apart is definitely the ladies. Both ladies can get down and dirty, still maintain their sexiness, and bring another element that crews without females can’t provide. So Real’s week five performance solidified my choice and they were clearly the best of the night, and it was the ladies that brought the house down.
After five weeks of competition, my vote goes to SoReal Cru FTW! What crew do you think will go all the way???
So Real Cru! I Boogie Bots is overrated. I think Super Crew is much tighter and take more risks!
@ndo – personally, Im not a big fan of Supercrew at all. S.S. is gone and I hope Supercrew crash and burns! muwhahahaha!!!
I have to agree with your choice 100% So Real has been really consistent throughout the competition. They didn’t really catch my attention during the season premiere, but they’ve been building momentum and never disappointed. I particularly liked the 3rd and 4th week routines. They make it look fun. The fact that the group is mixed allows for much more versatility. Beyond the routines I would like to also say that the group’s interviews have been really fun to watch. They come off as being a really likeable group, and that is going to be the deciding factor when it comes down to the last two groups. I think it’s going to come down to So Real and Boogie Bots in the final. So Real FTW! (Finally found out what FTW means…haha!)
Dammit, I can’t help for a crew which has a representative from Guam! Still down with SoReal but if they fall, got to cheer for the guy from born on Guam!

@ndo – SO Real Cru and Fanny Pak killed it. Super Crew were aight. Boogie Bots were garbage.
Never did I think that Fanny Pak had a chance to take the whole thing, and they busted out the week 7 routine…and made me think otherwise. I thought that a couple of their girls were going to slow them down early on in the competition, but even the big girls can move.
If it was up to the judges I think that they would have a hard time choosing a winner. America picks the winning crew, and I know that the filipino vote is something not to be discounted. If super crew gets eliminated, it just means that the filipino vote won’t get split. So as it is, I still think SoReal is going to take it.
But beyond the competition, I think that Fanny Pal might be the one to get more work after the competition is over.
@Polaris671 – I dont doubt you. I’m going with SoReal Cru myself but I think alot of people will like Fanny Pak outside the show as well because they are just so out of the box. Watch Missy pick them up for her next VIDEO!!
i think fanny pack should win because their unique. bboy dancing and hip hop dancing isnt always the main part of this show. yeah sure, its fun to watch, but fanny pack brings something different to the table. jabbawockeez were amazing. but i think fanny pack is very creative and unique and i think they deserve to win. i just think…its not always about bboy and hip hop dancing..big whoop. there are tons of other styles and fanny pack brings all of them to the dance floor. if fanny pack didnt win, shit…i bet they’re gonna be way more successful than the other crews.
@Jillian – I think Fanny Pak will definitely do well after the show regardless of the outcome and your right.. There are tons of B-boy crews and Hip Hop Dancers but there is only one Fanny Pak. Just keep in mind it boils down to the audience and Hip Hop is whats in right now.
Man…it’s really irritating that I can’t watch full episodes due to my work schedule. Would love to see what the judges had to say about them being parodied in fanny pak’s week 8 performance.

all these crews are pretty AMAZING! i mean… only less a than a week to choreograph kick ass routines? WHOA. thats real TALENT. However, my favorite crew would have to be SoReal Cru. Since it’s only SoReal and Super Cr3w left in the top two, a lot of haters are going against SoReal Cru and saying things like” SoReal SUCKS” or “Super Cr3w RULES AND WILL KICK SoReal’s ASSES!” However, I disagree. As much as Super cr3w is AMAZING, and I mean AMAZING in bboying and STUNTS, but America NEEDS TO OPEN THEIR EYES (SERIOUSLY) and REALIZE this is AMERICA’S BEST DANCE CREW, not JUST AMERICA’S BEST BBOY OR STUNT CREW! Sure bboying is a form of dancing, thats for sure. HOWEVVER, people are brainwashed! ALL Supercr3w EVER EVER EVER DOES is…….only bboying.
Supercr3w fans imagine this: take away the fancy stunts and tricks (which they are GREAT at, just like season 1′s Status Quo) and what the HELL do you get? Less than mediocre REAL DANCE chorepgraphy. and REAL SICK chorepgraphy is what “America’s Best Dance Crew” should be about, not just flipping from 2 stores every week and bboying.
Now, let’s look at this versatile group called SoReal Cru. They definetly dont have as many tricks and flip off of 2 story buildings, however they have the BEST, SICKEST, SMOOTHEST, SEXY choreography, which is what ABDC is all about. AND to add to that, they DO have two breakers in the group. I’m SoRRY, but i TRULY think that even though SuperCr3w is VERY EXCITING and all the ladies “LOVE” them, they are TRULY OVERRATED. AND this is just my opinion, but i guess another factor for the disrespectful SuperCr3w fans all hating on the multitalented SoREAl CRu is because Season 1 champs Jabbawockeez (who are good, but they’re starting to get overrated and all their routines look the same DONT KILL ME AHHLOL) wrote on their website to vote for SuperCr3w, and many people might be getting brainwashed. whatever. MY OPINION DONT KILL ME!
oh and one more thing. i dont HATE supercr3w, but i CANT believe that
1. they beat out every crew when theyre in the bottom two (WTF?!)
a. they beat out ASIID on the jj challenge? WHAT? ASIID had much more “Janet” in their routine and they were amazing, and yet AGAIN SUPERCR3W does the exact same flips and stuff and SEND ASIID HOME? I LOVED ASSID! god
2. and this one is EVEN MORE outrageous. they sent FANNYPAK HOME? WHAT fannypak killed it every
week and were much better than supercr3w, im sorry to say. and last week FP KILLLLLLLED IT BY
the BEST (right next to SoReal, or course LOL) and SuperCr3w STAYED? im sorry but shane sparks
and the judges NEED TO REALIZE that was a mistake.

I just know that they are gonna win cause i’ve been voting!!! and whoever is hating on them needs to keep their comments to themselves cause h-town not leaving any space for no super crew!!!!
