The Seeker was just horrible. It felt like a watered down version of Harry Potter that was rushed and unpolished.
I’m really not sure what the producers of this film were thinking when they wrote the script for the movie, but the storyline was horrendous, the dialogue corny and forgettable, and the script was so fragmented and rushed, it felt like I was fast forwarding my DVD player and missing essential elements of the movie.
This film is not even worth a rental in my honest opinion. Maybe a group of young children might find some enjoyment from this film, but anyone who has watched Harry Potter or Chronicles of Narnia will probably feel that this film was a total ripoff of the former films mentioned without the great story and special effects.
Avoid this movie at all costs.
When Will Stanton, a boy in his teens, starts getting weird feelings he soon realises that he is The Seeker, defender of Light from the Dark and their messenger The Rider. Will must travel through time to acquire the six signs that when put together they will give the Light all the power it needs but if this weapon falls into the hands of The Rider, the Dark will be the master of everything Will knows and holds dear to him.
Thanks for the review. I haven’t seen this but from the look of the DVD cover, it already feels like a HP ripoff!

I saw this movie at WalMart. It has ‘low budget’ written all over it! The cover reminded me of a cross between LOTR and Harry Potter.
What would I do without you Chris? Probably end up seeing a bunch of pretty shitty movies!! lol :) Thanks for this!

What you said about the movie seems right. You saved a lot of movie freaks from wasting money to such awful production. Nice Blog!
@ Nick & Krystal I wouldn’t say it was low budget, but the rip off was very evident.
@ Reggie haha. Its what I do! Have you seen dragon wars! LOL
@Wangbu Thanks for the compliments on the blog!

yep, pretty damn bad guys.
I didn’ t think it was horrible. It was a low budget, poor man’s version of Harry Potter. Perhaps my expectations were so low that when I watched it, I didn’t get disappointed. I’ll give it the rating: MEH!
