Privacy Policy required for Adsense Publishers

272645834_106f2d0d82Today I added a privacy policy to comply with the new Terms and Conditions for running Google Adsense on this site.

You must have and abide by an appropriate privacy policy that clearly discloses that third parties may be placing and reading cookies on your users’ browser, or using web beacons to collect information, in the course of ads being served on your website. Your privacy policy should also include information about user options for cookie management.

I had not logged on to my adsense reports in over two weeks, so when the “NEW” Terms and Conditions appeared after logging in, I figured it was just a friendly reminder. With that in mind, I clicked “I AGREE” and continued to check my earnings for the month of February. Upon further review however, I noticed that my earnings were more than enough for a payment in February and I was a bit upset when the direct deposit didn’t appear in my checking account after the payout date.

Upon further investigation and with the help of Jaypee’s weekly roundup, I was able to get all the information I needed to comply.

Pinoy Money Talk, provided me some samples for properly written privacy policies and I simply took one of their templates and adjusted it to reflect this site. I am hoping this is all I need and I’m looking forward to a bigger check now that I have to wait until the end of March to receive any cash.
