Spanish Fly in Lakerland

p1.gasolThe Lakers have finally made an big trade this season, giving up Kwame Brown’s expiring 9 million dollar contract, rookie Javaris Crittenton, and two first-round draft picks for 7-foot all star power forward Pau Gasol. Gasol who is a very capable scorer and shot blocker will help to bolster the Lakers frontline, instantly making the Lakers legitimate contenders for the Western crown once center Andrew Bynum and small forward Trevor Ariza make a return to the hardwood.

You can’t believe how happy I am as a long time Laker fan. The Lakers were a promising young team, but we were still a few pieces away from contending for another NBA Championship. Now with the addition of Gasol the Lakers have a formidable lineup with the addition of a deep bench.

Thank You Mitch Kupchak! After the horrible Shaquille O’neal trade then the Caron Butler trade, I was sure I would hate you forever! Now I send out my sincerest apologies. Keep waving that magic wand!

  1. I gotta admit. This is one of the best moves made in a long time. Mitch killed 2 birds with one stone. Got rid of Kwame and picked up an All-Star in the process.
