He's calling himself the greatest fighter ever. Read the post! Mayweather wouldn't last in MMA and he knows it. His father knows it. Mixed Martial Arts is the "REAL" combat sport. Boxing is not even half of "REAL" fighting. Yes ex-boxers participate and are successful in MMA, but they dont go touting themselves the best fighters in the world and expect to go into the ring and walk all over everyone. Even the best MMA fighters have lost. Why? Because its any man's game in MMA. Its not like boxing where you run around throwing jabs and worry only about just two hands. MMA requires total concentration because a strike can come from ANYWHERE! Real fighting!!!

They also learn to grapple, something you seem to think is for the birds based on your comments. Mayweather makes it sound as if he can just fight MMA with the skillset his has now. A boxer has only a punchers chance and in reality wouldn't last a minute with today's mixed martial arts practitioners. Guys like BJ Penn and Sean Sherk would wipe the floor with Mayweather in their weight class.

Your comments about grappling? Completely Naive. Thats just one aspect of MMA. They incorporate kickboxing, jiujitsu, boxing, and many other forms of martial arts to come up with the complete fighting machine.

Tell me Mr. Jason. How many fights have you seen in real life that involve standing on your feet. Real fights always go to the ground unless its an early knockout.

Sounds as if your one of those "OVER THE HILL" boxing fans who cant get a grip that MMA is the next generation combat sport while boxing is a dying breed.
