Live Free or Die Hard (DVD)

live_free_or_die_hardIts been quite some time since I’ve watched any films from the Die Hard franchise, and this was one of the summer films that were not on my “MUST” see list. Damn, I seriously missed out!

I do recall being impressed with the first film and disappointed as the sequels were released, so I wasn’t expecting much from its fourth installment. Today I was pleasantly surprised with a film that could arguably be the best out of all four Die Hard movies.

Live Free Die Hard started out with action and poured it on throughout the film. There were quite a number of unbelievable situations, but it really doesn’t take away from the enjoyment action fans will get from the movie. Its full of explosions, gun fire, and car chases, and the humor and sarcasm from Bruce Willis and his supporting cast keeps the movie going when the action is at a pause.

If you haven’t seen this film yet, you should definitely pick up a copy. This one is definitely getting a spot on my DVD shelf. Yeah, its was that good. Yippee Kai Yay Mo “Beepers”!

Synopsis:

When a criminal plot is in place to take down the entire computer and technological structure that supports the economy of the United States (and the world), it’s up to a decidedly “old school” hero, police detective John McClane, to take down the conspiracy, aided by a young hacker.

  1. To me, Die Hard 4.0 feels like a video game, and John McClain has ‘god mode’ on.

    I love this movie.

  2. I just watched this movie and I loved it! When I was watching the movie trailer, I knew it was good but didn’t expect it to be that good. Anyways, I’m not sure if I can say that it was better than the first one but it’s easily on the same level. :)
