Crank (DVD)

Crank is 87 minutes of non-stop, adrenaline pumping action. The film reminds me of a demented drug induced version of Grand Theft Auto gone big screen. We have the gang violence, lots of guns, drug use, sex in public, and a load of car chases. Just about everything an action buff looks for in a film. I could not pinpoint my favorite action sequence because the entire film is just one big action scene.
Jason Statham is the star of the movie and does a terrific job playing Chev, a hired assassin who decides to quit his job as a killer and spend more time with his girlfriend Eve. Statham has been in other roles, most notably in the Transporter series, but this movie tops them all. The plot itself is very simple but appealing. With the poison running through his veins, and only adrenaline keeping him alive, his main goal is to stay alive long enough to get revenge. If you enjoy action films, you’ll definitely like this film. Those who need a creative storyline and good dialogue should probably skip this one.
The ending was pretty surprising too. Did not expect it to end that way. ;)

But for Chev, things about to get very bad, when he learns he has been injected with a poison called “The Beijing Cocktail” by his rival Verona, which will kill him if his heart rate drops. Trying to stay alive and seeking help from friend, Kaylo and Doc Miles, to keep his heart pumping.
