X-Men III The Last Stand (Theaters)
I finally had the chance to catch a matinee for X-men III. I left very disappointed. The film lacked any real character development, it lacked a decent plot, and the story just didnt do any justice to an awesome x-men franchise. I was glad to see that the original actors remained, but the screenplay very weak and dull. I kept waiting for a defining moment in the film. It never happened.
**spoilers**
As a fan of the X-men comic franchise I thought that this film just didn’t make much sense. How can you kill two of the most vital members of the X-men team? Cyclops is perhaps one of the most prominent characters in the X-men franchise, yet he gets killed off in less than 15 minutes into the film by a kiss from Jean Grey. Professor X is one of the most powerful psychics in the world, but he just walks into Jean Grey’s home and gets disintegrated. Why didn’t Wolverine try to save Jean Grey by sticking her with the cure instead of just killing her off in the end? Why did the Beast stick Magneto with four needles instead of using just one on him and saving the rest to try to save Jean Grey? What was Angels purpose in the film? He didn’t do jack shit. Where is nightcrawler? Why didn’t we see Colossus fight Juggernaut? Since when did Juggernaut become a mutant anyway? Why didn’t Magneto recognize his own brother? Magneto can lift a bridge across the bay, but he can’t smash into Alcatraz to kill a boy? Throw the damn bridge on the prison instead of wasting time throwing cars that Pyro lights on fire!!! The list goes on and on…
The X-Men, mutant heroes sworn to defend a world that hates and fears them, are back! This time, with the help of new recruits The Beast and Angel, they must face evolution itself in the form of their former teammate, Jean Grey. Possessed with the cosmic power of the Dark Phoenix, the resurrected Jean Grey has become a danger to herself, her mutant comrades, and the entire planet. To stave off this imminent threat to humanity, a potential cure is discovered and processed to treat — and ultimately eliminate — genetic mutations, once and for all. Now, as the battle lines are drawn, the X-Men, led by Professor Charles Xavier, must contend with both Jean Grey’s world-consuming powers, as well as the malevolent Brotherhood, a band of powerful mutants organized under Xavier’s former ally, Magneto.

Exactly my thoughts:

I agree completely.

Awhh… I’m sorry you didn’t like the movie. I do agree with you that a lot of things didn’t make sense… but I don’t think they’re done (at least I hope not) with the X-men movies - or am I just in denial?

Well, if you stayed until the end, there is something important (less than 5 seconds) that leads many to believe they are not done with the series yet.
-
As far as the “where is Nightcrawler” thing, you need to play the official game, where he is a playable character, to know what happens to him. It takes place between parts 2 and 3. Another weak attempt to create more profits.

Yeah, that’s what I was told - and then i forgot to stay.. DAMN
