SuperBowl XL
This is hands down the biggest single sporting event of the year. I love Superbowl Sunday. When the playoffs started, I really thought the Steelers would be eliminated before the Big Show. The cards were stacked against them, and they were on a three game losing streak coming into the post season. They proved everyone wrong, including myself with three solid wins on the road against Cinci, Indy, and Denver. Im now a believer.
The Steelers are taking the trophy home this year. Why? Its actually very simple.
-
Jerome Bettis: He is playin in his hometown and he will play his finest game on Superbowl Sunday. Make no mistake. I really think he will retire after the season is done, and I think he wants to go out with a bang. Give him the ball and watch him take this team to the promiseland.
Blitzburg’s Defense: Matt Hassleback better watch out. He is going to get pressured all game. Matt, be prepared to get sacked. Troy is coming for ya!
The Steelers are on Fire: In their three playoff matchups they have been averaging close to 30 points. They will continue this streak come February 6th.
Confidence: They knew coming into the playoffs they were a good team. They knew they could beat anyone that stepped in their way. Its was displayed throughout this year’s playoffs. Last year the Steelers went 15-1 and lost to the eventual champs, the New England Patriots. This team basically consists of that same roster. Many people wrote them off this year because of their record and 6th seed postioning, but records mean nothing to a team like Pittsburgh.
Its Cowher Time.
