Two for the Money (DVD)

Al Pacino is a legendary actor. Scarface, The Godfather, and Heat made him a legend. This movie however, didn’t do much justice to his legendary reputation as an actor. Im not saying his acting was terrible. He actually did a good job at attempting to salvage this movie, but it did fall short. The script was acceptable, but the direction the movie took, really took me off guard. The movie ended with alot of my questions unanswered and a finish that was not as dramatic as I thought the director intended it to be.

Overall, I’d say its a decent rental at best. Im a big Pacino fan, but this is one Pacino film that can stay on the shelf.

Two For the Money is a drama of high stakes set in the adrenalized world of wheeler-dealers whose fortunes are won and lost betting on sports. Matthew McConaughey stars as Brandon Lang, a former college football star whose uncanny ability to predict the outcome of a game introduces him to an unexpected new career when his gridiron glory is sidelined by a crushing injury.
