Since Im such a huge fan of this genre of film, I went to catch a matinee with my brother n law today. My overall impression? It was a decent movie. The action sequences were really good. There was actually more action sequences in this film than its predecessor. The CGI was also pretty impressive along with the sets used in its production. The storyline however was pretty weak and the acting was subpar. Pretty similar to the first installment. The only real highlight is seeing Kates…. Uh.. Nevermind. Spoiler. haha. Watch the movie.
If your a hardcore vampire and lycan fan like I am, then you would probrably enjoy the film for whats its worth. If not I suggest you either rent it or skip it all together. In my case, I have to buy the DVD. I cant make the original sit alone on my shelf.
Synopsis:
Underworld: Evolution continues the saga of war between the Death Dealers and the Lycans. The film goes back to the beginnings of the ancient feud between the two tribes as Selene (Kate Beckinsale), the beautiful vampire heroine, and Michael (Scott Speedman), the lycan hybrid, try to unlock the secrets of their bloodlines. This will be a modern tale of action, intrigue and forbidden love, which takes them into the battle to end all wars as the immortals must finally face their retribution.
I absolutely loved the first movie. And it was one of those movies that I was a little upset about when I first found out that they had made a sequel. But I’m glad that Scott Speedman is still in it (YUM). Though I doubt it’ll be one I go and see in the Theatres…
I haven’t seen the first movie. I wanted to watch it since it came out but I didn’t get the chance whatsoever to see it. I’ll watch this after I’ve seen the first one. Btw, just after you mentioned about my layout, these went crazy. I just made a post and my layout suddenly was broken. I didn’t even modify the theme. Oh well, I might have to start from scratch again.

yeah, anyone April who is a big fan of the first should see this one. You should enjoy it enough. Just dont get your expectations up too high.

Honestly, I thought Underworld was pretty weak and UW2… well I might see it with friends who happen to be die hard KB fans and I shall have much fun *evil laughter*

She shows more SKIN! I think your friends will love that. It got a 3 star rating for me, so if your into storyline as I mentioned, forget this one.
