i love both games..i remember spending hours playing it with my friends..what i like about MK is the finishing moves that is unique to every player and StreetFighter is a classic! :)

street fighter. it was more of an influence than mk ever was. combat was much better too. mk had a great gimmick in the fatalities though.

I started out with the SF series at the arcades. Stopped at SFIII after repeated humiliating defeats at the hands of younger punks (who always took the oppurtunity to take the empty seat regardless of invitations or rather the lack of it).
It was then I moved on to consoles, and I must say MK has the edge over SF in terms of graphics and ending moves. The past years, I’ve been distracted a lot by newer players such as DoA (talk about eye-candy- haha).
Anyways, factoring nostalgia and fond memories (except the public trashing), I’s say SF get the prize.
P.S.- just so you know, I got the following error message when trying to post a comment earlier on (with request for gravatar sign-up), so trying now without.

Street Fighter. SFIII’s graphics are awesome. The animation is really really smooth and there’s plenty of it. The combat is also much better than MK in my opinion.
