Early Christmas Gift

I normally dont post anything sports related unless its huge news. Well, this made my day and I thought I’d share it with all my faithful readers. Everyone knows I’ve been a Laker fan since I started watching basketball and when a franchise player dominate the way Kobe did today, its huge.

Kobe dropped a career high on the 18-6 Dallas Mavericks. In 3 quarters Kobe outscored the entire Mavericks roster 62-61. He scored a franchise record 30 in one quarter. He took Dallas to school….Kobe haters, give my man his DUE!
The Lakers totally destroyed the Mavs tonight. Start to Finish.

  2. Thanks for the hating though. I think it has really fueled Kobe’s desire to make his team better!!!! Keep it coming!!!

  3. I dont see why people are still hating. The trio in LA have arrived this season. Kobe has not ballhogged at all. Odom has had solid numbers and so has Kwame. Im seeing a different Kobe in the upcoming years. He is sharing the ball. Watch out! This is gonna make my Laker team even more deadly in the upcoming seasons!!!

  4. Kobe is one of the worst team players in the history of the NBA. It’s rare to see someone who simply can’t get along with anyone. AI has an easier time getting along with people. That fact of the matter is this, Kobe is an individual player playing a team sport. And now his fan club is talking about him for MVP this year!? Are you people on drugs? MVP is an award that goes to someone who contributes to his team and makes everyone around him better. Someone who shoots 50 times in a game with no assists is not a team player. If Kobe wins the MVP it could be one of the most incredible disappointments in the history of sports. Also it would be very disrespectful to a true team player such as Nash.

  7. Kobe can’t even get along with Odom! How much of a team player is that? Listen, Kobe is not only a BALL-HOGGER but he’s a filthy RAT! He gets what he deserves. There is NO WAY the Flakers and making the playoff’s this year.

Trade that looser and start rebuiding!

  8. I’d have to say that (much like Stefan) my problem with Kobe isn’t his talent, it’s his attitude.

  9. The Lakers are winning with Kobe this season. This is the first year the organization has started building around his skill set. Up until now the Lakers were a team built around Shaq O’neal, and a lot of the pieces that fit with Shaq don’t fit with Kobe.

Kobe does take a lot of ill-advised shots and gets overly aggressive on offense. It’s part of the learning process for him as well. Him and his teammates have not found a way to have consistent balance on the court yet. It’s going to take at least two or three seasons playing in the Triangle and playing together before this team can gel. There have been flashes of what this team can do when the machine is running well. But right not consistency is the Lakers greatest flaw. Only time improves consistency, so you have to give it time.

No team has won a championship over night. Especially in this era of basketball.

The Heat are the team to beat right now? That’s overzealous, considering the Pistons, Spurs, and Mavs have been playing better basketball. They’ve already lost to Detroit twice, barely beat San Antonio on opening night, and they lost to the Mavs. If you actually look at the wins the Heat have, they don’t have a lot of quality wins this season. They are beating teams they should beat, but are losing to playoff caliber teams.

  10. Im not one sided at all. Im just being real. With the components the current Lakers have on their roster, obviously Kobe wont win another title.

As for his tantrums, he’s been obviously frustrated. I dont feel he is doing it in the right way, but everyone wants to win. His teammates are doing very little to help him.

You also dont need to be well liked to win a ring. You just need to be respected on the court. If your getting all your info from “BSPN”, your totally one sided on the issues. BSPN has been a known Kobe basher since day one. They are one of the most biased sports broadcasts there is right now..
