I watched this movie a little over a week ago with my wife and a couple friends. The movie definately didn’t live up to my expectations, but I did not expect it to. Its tough directing a great film much less a sequel. Harry Potter is already in its fouth feature and doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon. The movie took a dark turn and I figure that was the reason for PG-13 rating.
The vice I have with the series is the obvious. The actors and actresses are getting older and if they dont wrap it up soon, we are going to have some old kids playing the roles of young teenage wizards. I’m not sure if that will work out very well. Hopefully Harry Potter will come to some conclusion before they have to find new actors to replace the ones they have now. You know how that will end up. Bad….
Synopsis:
Harry’s fourth summer and the following year at Hogwarts are marked by the Quidditch World Cup and the Triwizard Tournament, in which student representatives from three different wizarding schools compete in a series of increasingly challenging contests. However, Voldemort’s Death Eaters are gaining strength and even creating the Dark Mark giving evidence that the Dark Lord is ready to rise again. In the unsuspecting lives of the young wizard and witches at Hogwarts the competitors are selected by the goblet of fire, which this year makes a very surprising announcement: Hogwarts will have two representatives in the tournament, including Harry Potter! Will Harry be able to rise to the challenge for the Tri Wizard Tournament while keeping up with school or will the challenges along with Voldemort’s rebirth be too much for the young hero?
Hmm. I could withstand the urge to go see any Potter movie in the cinema so far and having seen them on DVD later (they forced me!!) I must say I was glad that I didn’t. And thus I shall refrain from participating in this theatrical event and await the DVD release with stoic antici…. pation!
It’ll be released in Adelaide tomorrow. Slow eh? I was disspointed with the previous Harry Porter’s movie. Hopefully this one will make it up.
Yeap… all good things must come to an end…
I think it’s their time.
I loved Harry Potter…
even the last one was good.
Hubby and I want to watch this but I agree with you. They are getting older.
Not as cute anymore.
You are right on target there… let’s see, how old are they now? Hmm.
