Doom (Theaters)

doom_ver2Doom was suprisingly entertaining for a video game gone big screen. I personally felt that the movie actually did justice to the video game. There were alot of people that said the movie was pointless, violent, and didn’t have a good plot to it. Well Im sorry to burst your bubble, but that it what the video game is basically about. Its a first person shooter full of violence and non stop action. The entire movie was totally based on search and destroy tactics just like the video game. If that is not what you enjoy, then I suggest you watch something else.

Synopsis:

A troupe of heavy-duty Marines are sent to Mars to check on some of the disturbances that have been resonating from its human colony station. Once there, the group come to realize that demon-monsters are alive and well in their midst, so they pull out their big guns and shoot as much as they can. They kill some of the monsters and some of the monsters kill them. Lots of shooting and killing and blood ensues.

  1. It was actually a three star movie? Perhaps I have to add that to my list, but my list is too mcuh already since I don’t see as many since I don’t get to go for free nor see them before they come out.

    My list currently includes:

    Seperate Lies
    A History of Violence
    Saw II
    The Weather Man

  2. I was just playing Doom3 this weekend and wondering what the movie would be like. The game is fun because I get to do the shooting, but I wonder if it would be as entertaining to just sit back and watch someone else shoot demons for 2 hours?

Thanks for your comments over on my site asking where I was. Had some problems and haven’t been online much, but things should be getting back to normal in the next couple weeks.

  3. I see you’ve switched back to k2 :) I just wished there was someone in the movie - the Rock would’ve been perfect - to scream something like “IDDQD” or something. Give the old fans a nugget :D

  5. It’s gonna be a DVD rental for me…not worth the moolah for the big screen.
