Berserk (DVD Set)
Five Stars, Movies — By trench on October 27, 2005 at 4:28 am | 610 VisitorsI’ve been meaning to do this review for ages now. I finished this series late last year, after Amazon released the english box set. I’ve also basically consumed any and all berserk manga I could find that has been translated.
The creator, artist and writer of BERSERK is Kentarou Miura. It is and will probably remain as my favorite anime series ever. The anime is extremely graphic and contains alot of intense content so its definitely for mature audiences only. I guess that was what got me so addicted to this series. It wasn’t meant for children. It was meant for me!
The story centers around a character by the name of Guts. He is born through extreme violence and pain. Without any guidance or sense of direction, he finds glory doing the only thing he does well. Fight. As the story progresses however, Guts goes through several transformations in his life based on chance meetings with several key characters. He eventually finds purpose in life and his fate begins to unfold.
The anime created this obsession to find out everything about this series and it lead me to this very useful site. I wont go into much more detail about this anime, but I will express my extreme satisfaction watching it. It was fantastic. The characters are as realistic as it can get. Anyone who takes the time to understand Miura’s series will discover a incredibly vast and intricate world that that is BERSERK. Drop whatever your doing, and get your copy today!

i like the comedy ones like GTO and Lupin III. Even if it’s not realistic, it’s really fun to watch!! And yeah, it’s the way they draw the characters that makes them even funnier! Oh, and I’m into tv series too. Hehehehe!! Esp the Korean ones,, coz I have this bigtime crush on one actress, Kim Jung-hwa.
Hay, I miss the Philippines, I miss watching those kind of shows.
Anyway, my 2002 entries are stored in Diaryland.com. Hahahaha, Lucky I remembered the password and got to activate my account(s) back.
But the archives from my previous domain(strawberryshake.net).. well, they’re gone. Huhuhuhu.
Ps.
I’ll link you.
