Fat Albert (DVD)

Well, the critics were very hard on this movie. They rated the movie a C, so I never bothered watching it in the theater. My roomate picked it up for nostaligia value. I remember growing up watching Fat Albert on televison everyday afterschool. At first, I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy the feature, but after watching the show, I relived many fond memories growing up as a child. The movie was funny, and Dania Ramirez is super hot! She reminds me of a young J-Lo. Would I buy the film? Definately. I think children need more films like this which focus on values rather than violence.

Bill Cosby’s character, “Fat Albert,” comes to the big screen as a live action/animated feature film. The movie is based on Cosby’s stand-up comedy monologues about his childhood, centered around a group of urban adolescents growing up in a Philadelphia neighborhood.
